Legal

Refunds

Last updated · 31 May 2026

This covers payments made through calmhqstudio.com — paid digital resources (templates, guides, worksheets) and voluntary donations. It's written in plain English; if anything's unclear, just ask.

The Verge iOS app has its own refund policy, linked from inside the app and on its own site. This page doesn't cover it.

The short version

  • Free resources — there's nothing to refund. Download, keep, share.
  • Paid downloads — delivered instantly, so the automatic 14-day

cancellation right ends once you download. Anything faulty or not as described still gets a full refund.

  • Donations — voluntary gifts, not purchases, so non-refundable as a

rule. Genuine mistakes and duplicate charges are always put right.

  • Your UK statutory rights apply on top of everything here.

Free resources

Most of what the studio publishes is free. There's nothing to charge for and nothing to refund — take it, use it, pass it on.

Paid digital resources

When you buy a paid template or guide, it's delivered immediately as a download or an instant link. Because of that:

  • By completing checkout you ask for immediate access and accept that

you lose the automatic 14-day right to cancel once the download begins. That's standard for instant digital goods under UK law.

  • If a file is faulty, broken, or materially not as described, you're

entitled to a fix or a full refund under the Consumer Rights Act

  1. The studio will always sort this out.
  • If you bought something by mistake and haven't downloaded it yet,

email within a reasonable time and it'll be refunded.

Pay-what-you-want

Some resources let you choose your own price. You set the amount, so there's nothing to dispute on price — but the same "faulty or not as described" and "duplicate or mistaken charge" protections apply.

Donations

Donations through the Support page — Buy Me a Coffee, Ko-fi, GitHub Sponsors, or Stripe — are voluntary gifts, not payment for any goods or services. They are non-refundable as a matter of course, and confer no ownership, equity, or obligation either way.

That said, the studio has no interest in keeping money you didn't mean to send. Duplicate charges, an obvious slip (an extra zero), or a donation you regret within a few days — email and it'll be returned, no fuss.

Your UK consumer rights

If you're a UK consumer, two pieces of law sit above this policy:

  • The **Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional

Charges) Regulations 2013** give a 14-day cooling-off period for most digital purchases — reduced once you consent to immediate delivery and start downloading.

  • The Consumer Rights Act 2015 requires digital content to be of

satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If it isn't, you're entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

Nothing in this policy removes those rights. If you think a decision isn't lawful, you can escalate to UK Trading Standards.

When the studio will always refund

No quibbling in these cases:

  • Duplicate charges — refunded in full, straight away.
  • A charge taken after you'd already asked to cancel or been refunded.
  • Faulty or not-as-described paid resources that can't be put right.
  • Anything you paid for that was never delivered.

How to ask

  1. Email hello@calmhqstudio.com from the address you paid with.
  2. Tell us what you bought — a Stripe receipt or order reference helps —

and, in a line, what went wrong. A detailed reason isn't required.

  1. Expect a reply within 2 business days. Approved refunds are

processed by Stripe or the relevant donation provider and usually reach your card within 5–10 business days.

Changes

This policy can be updated; the "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. It is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
